How do I connect my system to my landline?

1. Unplug the cord from the back of your phone and plug it into the jack marked “LINE” on the bottom of the base unit.

2. Using the telephone cord provided in the box, connect your phone to the jack under the base unit marked “PHONE.”

3. Plug the base unit into an outlet that is not controlled by a light switch.

4. Press your help button to test your device.

How do I activate my help button?

1. Snap the button into the wristband or pendant attachment.

2. Hold down the CLEAR button on your console for 6 – 8 seconds until you hear “Ready to learn sensor.”

3. Now press the button on your new help button until you hear “Emergency sensor learned.” Your new help button is now ready to be used.

4. Test your new help button by pressing it again to connect to our monitoring center.

What happens when I press my help button?

Your help signal is received in a matter of seconds by our highly trained Care Specialists who are here to assist you 24/7.

If you are able to communicate, you can instruct us to contact your local EMS, neighbors, relatives or whomever you choose. If we are unable, for any reason, to talk to you, a LifeStation Care Specialist will contact those you have pre-selected for your emergency call list.

Finally, one of our Care Specialists will wait with you on the line until help arrives.

When should I test my help button and how should I do it?

You should always test your help button when you first set up your unit, move its location or if you receive a new one. Outside of those scenarios we recommend that our users test their help buttons at least once per month.

Simply press the button you’re wearing and the console will announce “Emergency”, 6-8 times. A Care Specialist will speak to you through the console. Tell the Care Specialist that you are testing your system.

What should I know about the different lights and buttons on my console?

The Green light is the power light. It should always be a steady green light. If this light is not on or is flashing, please call Customer Service (800-998-2400).

The Yellow light is the trouble light. It should always be off. If this light is on or is flashing, please call Customer Service (800-998-2400).

The Clear button on your console can be used to cancel an alarm or to temporarily silence a voice announcement.

The Emergency button on your console is just another way to alert our Care Specialist. It works the same way as the help button you would be wearing.
